5 Years of Komen in STL

My journey with the Komen organization has evolved over the years. My first time walking was in 2011, nearly one year after being diagnosed. I had a huge team walking with me and supporting me. I also walked in the Survivor walk with Jodi for a couple of years. The first year I had to do it without her was so emotional, so hard. This past summer KSDK honored and remembered her. See the clip below. Miss you, Jodi!

Avery's Birthday

Avery turned 5 (back in May). She had her birthday party at Myseum and we had so much fun!

Hocking Hills, OH

We took a long weekend and enjoyed some peace and quiet in a state park in Ohio this summer. Cell phones barely worked and we crammed 4 adults and 2 toddlers into a 1.5 bedroom/1 bath cabin. We (our family and my brother's) met my Dad and Marilynn at the KOA as they drove their "camp bus" as Emma calls it.

Although raining and damp all weekend we went on two hikes, a bike ride, swam in the pool and spent a lot of time around the campfire and BBQ grill. The scenery was beautiful!
