Emma's Easter Egg Hunt Video

Easter Morning!

Happy Easter! Happy 15 months to Emma too!

We went to early church service this morning and then came back to the house for a big breakfast, looking through the goodies the Easter bunny left in Emma's basket and then finished the morning with an Easter egg hunt!

The adults on my side of the family still have Easter egg hunts and sometimes it gets rough! I remember the first Easter Taylor brought Aubree- I wasn't sure how she was going to react. But I remember after wrestling her to the ground in the kitchen for an egg, she was going to fit in just perfectly!

Emma got her mommy's genes as she was so quick to bend over and pick up the eggs and safely place them in her basket this morning. She was then quickly onto the next.

Elle's 1st Birthday Party

Yesterday was Elle's first birthday party. We had a great time at the Park and playing on the swings!

School Picture Day

This week was school picture day.We also had Emma's parent teacher conference this week and she is continuing to excel and we have seen quite the development from late November to now. Great job, Emma! Only three more months and she will be transitioning into her 4th classroom at school.

Emma is now sleeping on a cot at school and she can show you six body parts:
  • belly
  • head
  • tongue
  • feet
  • nose
  • ears
She continues to say more words everyday and she is now saying:
  • up
  • down
  • thank you
  • Eddie (a boy in her class)
  • Emma

Brecken Archer

Aubree and Taylor's baby boy was born Monday, March 19th at 6:03pm (7 lbs 14 oz, 21" long). We traveled to Columbus a couple of weeks later to meet Brecken Archer Jones.

The morning Aubree went into labor, I was explaining to Emma that she wasn't going to be the baby of the family anymore and that Uncle Taylor and Aunt Aubree's baby was going to be born this day. We had our regular morning routine and off to school she went. That evening when we all got home, we were telling Emma that the baby would be here any minute and guess what Emma said..."baby!"

Emma however was not interested in "Baby" Brecken when we arrived in Columbus. She wanted to snuggle with "Bow" (Tres, the dog) and pull on Oliver, the cat's, tail!

In the same bassinet that me, Taylor and Emma all used!
