Emma's first Road Trip

Last weekend, Rett and I packed up Emma and the car and headed to Kansas City. I had made a packing list for Emma since it was our first road trip and I was actually surprised that we didn't have as much stuff as I thought.

We had a big weekend planned. We were celebrating my brother's 28th birthday, my grandma's (Dee Dee) 80th birthday, mom was hosting a sip n see for Emma and celebrating Mother's Day. On Thursday before we left, Dee Dee was diagnosed with shingles. We were all so bummed at the timing as this was going to be the first time Dee Dee and Papa met Emma. We will reschedule soon once everyone is healthy!

We stopped in Columbia on the way for Shakespeare's Pizza. How can anyone resist it? We even used their famous orangey red washcloths as Emma's bib! What a yummy pit stop!

Here is Taylor enjoying his birthday present: a monogrammed decanter with Seagrams!

Mom hosted a fabulous sip n see for Emma. It was so fancy and what a beautiful day! Here are some pictures from the day!

Thanks for a wonderful time, Mom!

That night we went to Em Chamas, a Brazilian Grill, where they bring you endless meats to the table as long as your button is green. Emma and Uncle Taylor were all in!

Love,
Jenna
